Situation
A global offshore drilling company faced pressure to restore profitability to the organization following multiple acquisitions over the years. Their administrative and operating cost benchmarks exceeded most of their competitors and the lack of efficiency was becoming evident to their customers. The company did not take the time to streamline processes or rationalize certain operations following the acquisition growth.
