Trenegy is a consulting firm based in Houston, Texas. Prior to starting Trenegy in 2010, our founders spent years as partners at Big Four firms. They realized that large consulting firm delivery models were ineffective at meeting the value and timing expectations of growing mid-market companies. They discovered a better way to help companies get the help they needed and founded Trenegy in 2010.

Bill Aimone

Managing Director

Bill has 35+ years of business and consulting experience helping rapidly growing companies address strategic finance, turnaround, operation, integration, and technology issues, including AI. Before starting Trenegy, Bill helped build a finance consulting practice in Ernst & Young’s Middle Market Consulting group in Austin, then joined Deloitte as the Partner leading the Finance Consulting Practice for the Gulf Coast Region. He has served as a Director on several nonprofit boards and holds an MBA from Baylor University and a BS in Economics from Texas A&M.

Peter Purcell

Managing Director

Peter has 35+ years of business and consulting experience helping companies improve technology delivery, implement fit-for-purpose solutions, and—more recently—develop implementable artificial intelligence strategies. Before starting Trenegy, Peter was the Partner in charge of the IT Strategy practice for Ernst & Young’s Middle Market Consulting group in Texas, and he started and successfully grew the IT Strategy and Operations Practice at Deloitte for the energy industry. Peter holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BS in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico.

Katy Wyrick

Managing Director

Katy has 10+ years of business and consulting experience with a strong focus on the energy industry. She has proven experience helping companies design and implement the right systems, processes, and organizational structures and providing business advisory and change leadership. She has in-depth experience implementing fit-for-purpose solutions, aligning the organization and processes, and developing AI strategies to optimize efficiency. Katy holds a degree in Business Administration and Communication from Texas A&M.

Cathy Hilton

VP of Finance & Administration

Cathy is a true efficiency expert. She ensures internal company practices are optimized to enable outstanding client service. This is where Trenegy truly practices what we preach. Todd Boutte

Practice Manager, Technology Services

Todd leads Trenegy’s internal and external technology initiatives with 10+ years of IT project management and software development leadership experience, primarily in the energy industry. He has worked with many companies to help them stay competitive with artificial intelligence, bolster data management and reporting, improve cybersecurity, and reduce IT spending. Todd holds a BBA in Operations Management and an MS in Supply Chain & Logistics Technology from the University of Houston.
